Dan Hylton

Minneapolis-based Dan Hylton is in his third decade purveying the fine art of Craft Pop. The 2012 6-song EP Secret of HIM remains his sole solo output during through three decades, though he has spearheaded a myriad of collaborative musical projects over that time, from power-pop quartet 44 in the 1990s to his current live band Southern Resident Whales and pop-pop studio project Sender's Dream.

Solo, on acoustic guitar, Dan “makes people feel like they just had a conversation with a really good friend,” with a presence that is both quirky and disarming. With a storyteller's soul, Dan weaves a performance of anecdotes and songs that are in turns raucous and delicate, driving and intimate. Glen Hansard meets Sufjan Stevens meets your soul mate. Dan is available to play house concerts within a day's drive of Minneapolis, MN. Inquire below!

“In his songs, Dan Hylton balances quirky humor, clever slice-of-life observations, and raw emotion.”
